 Erasmus Mundus 

The Erasmus Mundus is one of the popular scholarships offered to Indian students choosing to study in the UK. They offer opportunities for higher education by collaborating with joint degree programs. You can apply for this scholarship between September to January every year. The scholarship is applicable to universities in the UK, Europe, the US and is open to all master degrees. 

The eligibility criteria for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship are as follows:

  1. Fluency in the English language 
  2. Should hold a degree in Bachelor in Science in either Mathematics, Physics, or Computer science 
  3. Should possess a minimum of 180 ects 

The scholarship covers tuition and insurance costs upto £4000 and travel expenses upto £1000 every year. In addition, the scholarship also covers a miscellaneous cost of £1000 every month for the duration of the degree program. The scholarship roughly amounts to 618,015 in rupees. 

Felix Scholarship 

One of the scholarships for MS abroad is the Felix scholarship. This caters specifically to underprivileged Indian students or students from developing countries. They help you in pursuing a postgraduate degree in the UK. The scholarship is offered every year in the month of September. They offer about 20 scholarships per year. 

 The eligibility criteria for the Felix scholarship includes: 

  1. Should belong to the underprivileged section of society 
  2. Should be an Indian citizen 
  3. Must have secured first class 
  4. Should possess an undergraduate degree from a recognised university in India

The scholarship covers expenses amounting to £71,700. This amount includes the tuition fees, the living expenses which is around £14,500, and the travel cost from India to the UK. The scholarship roughly amounts to 73,96,369 in rupees. 

Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarships 

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation scholarships are offered every year to Indian students pursuing a degree in universities in the UK, US, and Europe. The scholarship opens up every year in the month of January. The Inlaks scholarship is applicable to every candidate who is applying for a graduate program. 

The eligibility criteria for the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation scholarships are as follows:

  1. Should be an Indian citizen 
  2. Should hold an undergraduate degree from recognised Indian universities 
  3. Should have a minimum of 2 years work experience 
  4. Should be admitted to specific institution or course
  5. Should be below the age of 30 

The scholarship covers expenses amounting to $1,00,000, which is roughly around 74,56,700 in rupees. These expenses include the tuition fees, the living cost, and the travel costs. 

Chinese Government Scholarships 

The Chinese Government scholarships are offered by the India-China Cultural Exchange Program for Indian students looking to apply to universities in China. The scholarship is offered to students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Chinese Government scholarship is offered every year in the month of March and about 20 scholarships are awarded every year. The scholarship is applicable to candidates applying for Science, Literature and language,  Humanities undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

 The eligibility criteria for the Chinese Government scholarships are as follows: 

  1. A minimum score of 60 percent in your undergraduate degree
  2. Should train for one-year in learning the Chinese language before admission 
  3. Should be educated and informed about China

The scholarship covers expenses such as the tuition fee for the eight semesters, living costs , and the travel costs. The travel expenses to and from China are provided by the Indian government to the candidates if they qualify for the scholarship.

Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships 

The Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships are offered by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) to aid Indian students who want to pursue a master’s degree or a research degree at universities in the US. The scholarship is offered every year in the month of June. The Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships are applicable to fields of study such as Science, Law, Business Administration, and Humanities. 

The eligibility criteria for the Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships are as follows: 

  1. Should have completed four years of education or credits equivalent to US undergraduate degree
  2. Should have a minimum of three years of work experience 
  3. Should possess sufficient interpersonal skills 

The scholarship covers expenses such as tuition fee, living costs, travel costs, and the cost for books necessary for the program.
