The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) — administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) — is a global level entrance test that is an admission requirement of thousands of graduate schools. Prospective applicants who are interested in pursuing a masters degree in any field or a PhD appear for this test. If you are one of those applicants, you have to first register and pay a GRE fee. So, how much does it cost to appear for the GRE exam? Let’s find out!
GRE Exam Fees
The GRE offers tests in two formats — General Test and Subject Test. The general test is structured in a way to measure your critical thinking, problem solving, analytical writing and logical reasoning skills through three sections — Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning, while the subject test measures your knowledge of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology.
