Great Lakes Institute of Management

Established in 2004, the Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM)is one of the many private business schools in India. The institute was founded by Bala V Balachandran after the establishment of the Indian Business School (ISB). That is how the Great Lakes Institute of Management became the first business school to offer a one-year management course in India. The institute has been ranked at the 4th position by the Outlook 2021 and at the 24th position by the NIRF 2021 ranking. Besides its affiliation with AICTE, it has also gained multiple global accreditations such as the NBA, AMBA, and SAQS.

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for applying to any of these programs at the Great Lakes Institute of Management are as follows: 

  • You must have completed your undergraduate degree with an aggregate of 60% or above.
  • You must have a minimum of two years of work experience. 
  • You must have a valid CAT or GMAT score. 

While these are general eligibility criteria, the work experience requirements might tend to differ depending on the course. The work experience requirement for the executive PGPM course is a minimum of 8 years or more. Similarly, besides the GMAT or CAT scores, for certain courses such as the executive PGPM and the PGPM flex, you might even be required to take the Great Lakes aptitude test to be eligible.

According to the placement report 2021, 90% of the PGPM batch has been placed and placement processes are still taking place. As per the report, the highest salary during this drive was around INR 32,00,000 per year and the average salary offered was INR 14,00,000 per year. Similarly, the report also provides us statistics for the PGDM batch. According to the report, 100% of the PGDM batch has been placed. The highest salary offered to the PGDM batch was INR 21,50,000 per year and the average salary offered was INR 11,00,000 per year.
