All you need to know about ETS GRE Login?


ETS (Educational Testing Services) is the authorised body who administer the GRE exams across all countries. Therefore to register for your exam you must first create an ETS login after which you can proceed to choose your test dates, venue and pay the fees. Prior to ETS GRE Login, you need to do the following things:

1. Go through the ETS Rules and Policies

It is indeed a boring task to read all the ETS Rules and Policies related to registration, scheduling and rescheduling of the exam or even the cancellation of the exam. But it is of utmost importance to go through them otherwise you lose valuable information.

2. Decide the test-taking format

In the process of creating your ETS My Account, you need to fill in requested personal and professional details. You have to create your account on the official website of ETS. However, if you have already registered for TOEFL or PRAXIS then you don’t need to re-create your account.

2. Confirm your exam date

You can take the exam on any day and at any time (Morning, Noon or Evening slots). But it should not be on a public holiday. Fix your exam date out of the available dates offered on the website. But remember one thing: Take the test only when you’re completely prepared for it.

3. Select your test center

After confirming the test date, select your city and test center where you want to attempt the test. While opting for it keep in mind that the test center must be in an urban area with proper internet connectivity.

4. Credit / Debit cards

Pay with a Credit Card or Debit Card with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or JCB. The exam fee is USD $ 205.

5. ID Requirements

You would require a substantial ID confirmation to be permitted to sit for the test. In spite of the fact that the ID isn’t required when you are enrolling, it is essential to ensure that the name used to make the ETS ‘My GRE Account’ MUST match with the name on the ID. Thus, it is better that you have your ID ready with you at the time of registration.

After Registration

1. Search Service

In this service, ETS connects applicants to graduate schools or vice-versa. This feature allows you to know about the courses offered by the colleges. Or alternatively, colleges may also make contact with you in case you scored the optimum scores for a specific program.

2. Diagnostic Service

Here you can discuss the solutions with the ETS mentors from GRE Quantitative Reasoning or Verbal section. It will help you in identifying your mistakes and prevents the chances of repeating it.

Once you create your account, you can freely download your preparation material from the PowerPrep II software.
